no reader / device in DVD Decrypter

DVD Decrypter 3.1.3.0/3.1.4.0 does NOT recognise my Pioneer 103 DVD Drive.

aspi is fine, my LITE-ON LTR 482465 is present (when listing ALL DEVICES), both drives work fine, SmartRipper has no problem at all using the Pioneer but DVD Decrypter wont recognise this drive.

i'm using winaspi32.dll - other interfaces are not installed.

any idea anyone?

tried 3.1.2 now - same result
and a version from 22/6/2002 didnt even start up but gave this error:
10093: successful WSAStartup not yet performed

In the log, what does it say immediately after is says 'searching for devices...'

Its not really down to the program to find them, but your ASPI layer. It is that which reports their presence to DVD Decrypter.

I presume you're running 95/98/Me ?

sorry if i got that wrong, i thought it had something to do with DVD Decrypter. right now i realise that powerdvd gives me this error message as well - dont know, what happened to my system but i would appreciate any help:

esdi diver or aspi manager incompatible

and yes, the os is 98se

ok, problem solved.

re-installing aspi 4.6.1021 solved my problem
