Since Hakko suggested that i move this question elsewhere i have :p
Just a small question...
is it possible to change the "DivX Video" logo that 5.03 inserts at the start of encodes....
i've noticed it in the few encodes i've done since it came out...and i'm thinking, "why not substitute it for a logo opf my own?"
so, umm, how? :p
PS: i noticed on my search that it is possible to remove it, but no one has mentioned changing it...

AFAIK the logo is not encoded into the video. it's just divx's direct show filter that shows it during playback.
you can dissable this behaviour in the dsf settings.

Yeah, it's not in the encode. It shows up on older divx encodes.

i've watched some previous encodes that use 5.02 and it doesnt show up there...and the logo is still enabled...

The logo is inserted by the playback filter.
You can disable it in the 'quality settings' tab, in the DS decoder properties page.

Try and play the file with ffdshow instead.

ack, i seem to have failed to get the point across, but i guess its not realy possible if its a codec end thing rather than a file end thing which is what i was hoping....

You can try searching in the registry if there's a pointer to an img file, but I very much doubt it. My guess is the logo is fixed into the decoder, otherwise it's wouldn't be much of a DivX certified logo anymore if everyone could change it.
