Printing On DVD/Cds

What is the best printer to use to print labels directly into the DVD or CD disks and how can I tell if the disks I own can be printed onto?

I own a EZ/CD Printer, and they print beautiful labels onto the disc. First, you need inkjet printable DVDs. I use Ritek's. You can feel the difference between them and regular silver or white top DVDs. The printable surface is kind of like a label, its surface can take the ink. Regular DVDs are shinny and slick, the ink does not adhere to the surface.

I understand Epson has just started upgrading the Stylus 960 to allow for CD/DVD printing. They had the printer available before, but they didn't release the CD/DVD printing capability in the US. It's a $350-$400 printer. My EZ/CD Printer (based on the Epson C60 engine) as $299.

The Epson C-60 printers that the EZCD printers are built around sell for less than $100. The EZCD printers are basically remanufactured Epson printers marked up since it is a niche market. Welp, Epson finally got smart and decided to make their own, the Epson 960. I just bought one from Epson's site.
