hello .
i would like to know how use this slider with n passes divx 5.03 .
Do i change with a speed movie or keep 0 (constant quality) ?

I'm still a little unsure about this but I think it's basically whether you want the high or low motion scenes to have better quality at the expense of the other.
Say you encode a movie and you have a scan through and decide that the high motion scenes aren't quite good enough. You could run another pass and set the slider towards high motion to allocate some of the bits away from the low motion scenes to be used for the high motion ones.

yes, but when I did my tests of the Multipass feature, then each time I did a new pass, and I went to the Encoder settings tab, then the slider resetted to the middle. As in "Constant Quality".
(I only noticed this twice, so because I was confused, I reiterated all the passes with the slider @ constant quality.)
Maybe this would indicate a bug (aldough I'm careful before I say such a thing ...), or else it might say that you should only use this slider in the last pass.
I don't have time to verify and compare this "resetting", but maybe someone else could see into it.
