Hi,
Ive got a 700mb avi file, when I try and move it to the desktop from my downloads file it says the file its in use from another user or from another program,- even tho its not!
Using XP home, ive scanned the file using avg and its fine apparently. Anyone else have this problem?
Cheers

Hi-
dunno how u found it!
I had read of that tip at least twice in the past. I had to use different word combinations in the search engine before one of the threads turned up. I had the same problem they had in the thread (being unable to delete an .avi and getting the same error message as you). But deleting the registry key fixed the problem for me, as it will for you.
They explain in the thread what that entry does. If you're not comfortable fooling around in the Registry, then get one of your computer genius friends to do it for you. I've seen lots of sighs of relief from people after removing the entry, but no mention of any problems.
Here's more on that Registry entry:
