 Is there any way to make your menu buttons a shape different than a square in DVDMaestro? I notice studio DVDs that have little pictures as buttons but alls I can seem to make are square or rectangle ones. Please help me :) Thanks.:(

Has to do with your sub-picture and mask you use. The "button" in Maestro is nothing more than to tell what location to use the subpicture and mask in. I forget specifically what you set but play around with your view options so that you can view the background, the subpicture, etc. You'll find that when you change the contrast level of certain settings it will make that subpicture show through or not. It is this subpicture that determines your button you actually see. Not the square you draw in Maestro.

So, what you're saying is I should make a subpicture with the shapes i want them in in the different in the position i want them in (using layering in photoshop, obviously) and save the layer as a subpicture image. I still don't understand what a "mask" is or how to use it in Maestro. Can you explain this?

this ReelDVD tutorial explains it a bit with nice pictures, for DVDMaestro if you import a PSD, you can only have two layers, the subpicture(s), and the background, so merge all the subpictures together if you use that tutorial as an example. (ReelDVD has a feature where it can create a button for each of the layers it finds, minus the background).
