hey,
I've been reading a few threads about the DirectShow Filters and i'm a bit confused..
Nic has his DSF...
And Koepi uses the same DSF that Nic has on his website.
(but they both have different encoders)
FFDShow uses parts of Nic's decoder..
So which DSF is the best for encoding all XVID content?
I'm talking about the best quality and speed..
thanks

General consensus is probably right now use ffdshow unless you get problems, then try my decoder. if you still get problems, post the problem here :) (if the problem hasnt been posted before).
Ill put out a new version of my filter & ill add a link to the source code on my site, maybe someone else can make it better (I just dont have the time).

ffdshow's latest version is in alpha and it has alot of settings and such..
i prefer ur build since you just install it and it works :)
But i still wanted to get this cleared up.. does koepi uses ur DSF or his own?
And which is pretty much works without problems?
Since i found some issues with your build such as the green frame at the beginning and i have a movie (GhostShip) that goes black&white sometimes unless you go to fullscreen....
I just want a good DSF that decodes precisely (just as it is supposed to be seen) and without all kinds of bugs.
I hope you fix your bugs too!

LOL...it goes B&W intentionally because your most likely viewing a DVD screener meant for award consideration only. It's Hollywoods new method to deter people from sharing movies before they are released on DVD:) Or are you talking about the whole movie being in B&W unless it's viewed in fullscreen?

lol... you're right! it's a screener
but it's wierd.. as soon as i go full screen the B&W disaapears..
maybe it is a decoder problem after all..
