How can I manually install a codec, so that it will appaer in VirtualDub compression section?
Example: (I have a WinXP system)
I have all needed files for DivX 4.12 codec (DivX412.dll/DivXdec4.ax)
I made a CMD file to copy both files to Windows/system32 directory and registered the DivXdec4.ax file. I can now decode/play these kind of files in BSPlayer, but the codec does not appear in the VirtualDub compression section?
- I then also applied info about codec in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32] - but the codec does not appear in VirtualDub?
- What registry am I missing? Hope that somebody can help!
