Hello

I know mpeg1 is accepted as a DVD format but is it realy. I ask because every time i try to use it, and no matter the settings it always has a nasty flicker look especialy on horizontal planes. is there a way to eliminate this?

Has anyone put a 352x240 mpeg1 video onto a dvd? If so how did it look? I have tried numerous times and alwas end up with a flicker effect. what causes this and how can it be fixed. 352x240 mpeg1 is suposed to be a compliant dvd format. so why the trouble?

Thanks.

mpeg1 is basically 1/4 D1, and such it only has half the fields/sec so is going to suffer in motion, and some tvs might show some horizontal shimmering.
