I was wondering if its possible to use nic's wm9 encoder and encode a video with it and then open up microsoft's wm9 encoder and encode the 5.1 channel audio and later mux them both? Cuz Nic's encoder can't do multichannel encoding and I really want to use it. Thx for your help.

@all: Can you mux a WMA & a WMV in Graphedit? if so, and if there arent any other muxers around, ill write one that can do that.

If thats possible then yes, but other than that I dont know :)

@Nic

Can I just use your encoder and encode a video, and then separately encode the audio and mux it with the windows media stream editor? Thx

Also is it possible to make microsoft's own encoder to accept vob files???? Is there like a utility to make the vobs into 1 avi file or some sort of video file so that microsoft's encoder will accept it? I find it odd that microsoft's own encoder won't accept vob files.

windows media encoder accepts vob if you install windvd filters.

I install windvd and on default, trying to select the vob, it doesn't come up as default unless I choose to accept all files. Also how do I get wm9 to encode the vobs? I'm assuming that its all the vobs because the first vob doesn't cover the whole movie...

I choose to accept all files : that 's ok

else for vobs ,i don't know because i never did with vobs .only one vob . But perhaps , if you catch all vobs in wme ??

i don't know in fact .But no problem to encode with 5.1 if you want via besweet abs 6 waves .

excuse me for my english :scared:

if it won't accept all the vobs (1.vob, 2.vob etc.) and automatically join them together, then you could always rip one BIG vob with your ripping program..
