Hi, this is my first post. I've been using DVD2SVCD for over a week. I have a question about having numbers in output folders, and I already did a search but could not find much info.

In the FAQ it states that
Q29: I used special characters like ( ) [ ] % 1 2 3 001 4 5 6 7 8 9 in my output folder name
A: Don't use these. These characters can be source of problems at least for bbmpeg. Due to sheer number of programs utilized in DVD2SVCD bundle it's better to just stick to your ABC's lest you like to gamble with your time.

But on the update log it says
02 may 2002 version 1.0.9 build 1
- Bugfix: When using output folders with numbers in it, bbMPEG would fail in making the right muxed filename. Fixed.

Additionally I just tried encoding to a folder with numbers, and it worked. So maybe the faq needs to be updated?

thanks for letting us know...we'll probably leave it up there just in case other people are using older versions of the program.

It is and it isn't fixed since this is more a bbmpeg problem then a DVD2SVCD problem. Just live by those rules to be safe. It was left in the Q+A for a reason. There are still situations that these characters will cause problems. It just happens less often and with few character combinations.
