Hi,

I'm using Virtual VCR cause is the best software for capture i have tried for my card (AIMS VHS).

The only problem with this software is that it can't split files for making multiple AVIs (4gb max file size).

Can someone tell me how to split files with Virtual VCR or point me out a software that is fast enough (like virtual vcr) AND can capture @352x480

I needed very much :), Thanks

Hi,

I tried that software, but i can't configure it to capture @352x480 only fixed resolutions.

I can't capture at more than 352x480 cause my PC is an athlon 600mh :(
I use huffyuv cause is lossless, PICVideo at 19 give me some artifacts.

Thanks

What video capture card are you using?

I have a 500Mhz P3 with 384MB of SDRAM memory with an ATI All-In-Wonder video capture card, and I can capture up to 720x480 with huffyuv 2.1.1 using AVI_IO with no frames dropped.
Did you goto the Format panel under the Video Setting menu in AVI_IO, and change it to 352x480?

you were right, avi_io can handle custom video format :)

But, i was dropping frames :( anyway, i installed Win2k pro for NTFS support so virtual vcr can handle files >4gb.

For my surprise win2k is "faster", i mean i don't get any frame drop, so i'm happy :)

Thanks
