Perm. subs with gray outline in We Were Soldiers

Hi,

I'm backing up "We Were Soldiers" and I used permanent subtitles for the subtitle stream that covers the vietnamese/french speaking parts. No other subtitles were ripped. The stream I selected was 0x23 (Letterboxed). Conversion went fine but the subtitles on the SVCD now all have a thick gray outline (see picture) which is not present on my original DVD. I did perm. subs before (i.e. Star Wars II) and never had this problem. Anyone know how I could get rid of the gray outline?

Problem solved. These subtitles consisted of only two colors (font and outline), so in the subtitle selection dialog, I had to edit the palette and on the output tab, change color 4 to black.
