Thanks for implementing this feature, it was on top of my wishlist :)
One question about it tho. How can I change the appearance of the font? It really looks *ugly* in comparison to the output of textsub.
Textsub makes a nice bold antialiased lettertype while as AvisynthSubtitler prints a thin and grainy string. I've been searching for the AvisynthSubtitler syntax, but up until now no luck.
Anyone here got some hints to make this new nifty feature even better?
cheers!

Am I really the only one?

Nope, your not alone.
Today i wanted to try the external *.srt subtitle.
But in de preview i already see the *ugly* to large font.
I also want to know if i could change the font setting.
i searched through the ini files but couldn't find something that would change it.
I hope that someone could help out with this great implemented feature.

Another thing I see happening (I think), is when I edit the subtitle bmp the image is sized to the font.
If the font bmp is used in encoding, it is stretched.
Now I’m busy with a 16:9 movie and the bmp is stretched in the width and a bit in height.
I think that this creates the *ugly* font, cause in a graphic editor the fonts look good enough.
I don't know if it is possible, but when the fonts are generated, could the image size predefined to the outputted width and adjusted height.
