vhs to dvd using tpmgenc

hi all
can anyone spare a little time for some advise. ?????

i want to change my captured vhs file to dvd using tmpgenc, my first attempt failed miserably,.
if i chose the dvd template in tpmgenc, then ran the conversion would the resulting file allow me to write to a dvd disc using nero or is there something else that needs to be done before using nero. ?

to be exact, if anyone has done this what steps did you take once you had captured the video onto the hard drive.
i`m kinda stuck here lads, any insihght into what i`m doing wrong or more to the point what i need to do would be a great help.

Captured vhs file should be avi and can be directly opened in tmpgenc for encoding.
For dvd you should get a separate video and audio file which have to be authored - why not use IfoEdit?
Then you can burn with Nero.

If you still have the mpg file you created in tmpgenc, you can do a simple demux (tmpgenc tools) to m2v & mp2 files. Author with ifoedit using these files. If you want chapters you must include a celltimes.txt file which is simply a text file that lists the chapter breaks in frames rather than times eg for PAL 1sec=25 frames.
