Anyone out there give me some insight as to why my ripped DVD titles won't play in my Kiss DP-450 player?

I am using the DivX 5 Codec with the Pro features turned off!

I have tried encoding the audio in several ways and still no joy!

GSpot tells me the files are DivX 5 but my player refuses to play ball.

Re-encoded DivX 3 files using Virtualdub do play which is supprising as the same Codec is used for both...therefore I can only assume that the problem is genereated when Nandub is used at the end of the process to mux the audio.

Appologies if this has been answered previously.

to check if it is a problem with nandub, just use avimux to mux your audio and video sources. you can find it in the downloads section @doom9.org

another guess would be cbr vs. vbr... but in this case i do not know the system specs of the KISS player... but still, it's a possibility.

Just a random guess....

Taken from: http://www.kiss-technology.com/support/dp-450_FAQ.asp

Q: What dimensions does it play? like screens of 350 X 240, 720 X 640, etc ?
A: DP450 plays resolution up to PAL and NTSC standards upto 3 Mbit/s.

The new 5.0.3 has a bitrate limiter, I'm guessing that this is what its for.

BTW I plan to buy this DVD player in a couple of days from www.techtronics.com.
