I want to reencode the main movie (VTS_01_X.vob) and the specials. When I open VTS_02_0.IFO (specials) with ifoedit i get this:

Menu Language Units: 1
Language Menu Unit 1: [English]

Language Menu Unit 1: [English]
Menu 1: [Root-Menu] (entry PGC) (Programs: 1) (Cells: 1) (uses VOB-IDs: 1)

I encoded every single PGC, then i created a new vob with scenarist and muxed back in the original VIDEO_TS folder, corrected the ifo with ifoupdated etc etc.
The extras are working but not perfectly. When i press next on dvdplayer (windvd or powerdvd) nothing happens and seeking through the extras causes the player to go back to the extras menu.
That's because (i think) i was not able to recreate the 2nd chapter in every pgc.

 What's the meaning of Layer break?
 How can i recreate the second chapter in the new PGC?

If i try to rip from the dvd the vob id 8 (that contains this 1 sec chapter) i obtain a 12k vob file but i'm not able to use it cause no video track is in it.
Thanks for any help

What u should have observed is that there is a 1sec vob that it is added in every pgc.

What u can do is to create an 8th track that contains only a 25frames of a black bmp and add it in every pgc in the scenario editor next to the main one in exactly the same way.

Try and post back for more help if u need any.

Yes, i made like u said and now the next button works great.
The only problem still persists is that if i try to scan manually the special (not with forward or backward but searching in the timeline of powerdvd) it hangs the play.

Byez and thanks

This has been reported in other theads too. Don't know how to deal with it actually. Apparently all of us r suffering the same problem.
