this is interesting,
have 2 WMV files here and i just want the audio,
ones 7.6 and the other is 6.5 mb's
i stripped the audio off it into wav with TMPGE
and then converted it to mp3 and ogg
even @ an 8 bitrate the audio file was close to the original video file, bout 1/2 to 1 meg short (bout 6mg's)
is this normal ??
is coz of the cross conversion or something ??
or is Microsoft doing something right with audio compression ?? (doubt it)
i used the Windows Media encode software (just found it, didnt know it existed) and used that ti strip the audio off in a WMA format and there only 1-2mb's, just what i was after, but just found this interesting,
anyone else ........
