unexplainable phenomenon

i just burned the second part of behind enemy line and something strange happened : after i burned it first on dvd-rw disc that came out well i burned it on dvd-r and when i put the disc in the dvdplayer i get message of no disc . so i made some arrangement according to a guide i got from a nobel user (i dont know if he want me to write his name) and burned it again on dvd-rw again it came out well but the same problem happened when i burn it on dvd-r .
Now i know it is sound like a media problem but i burned already 8 movies with the same media that come out just fine .

any though about this ? and how could i trust the dvd-rw in the future ? until now each movie that came out good on dvd-rw came out good also on dvd-r .

Maybe your DVD playeris less strict on discs being fully compliant when using DVD-RW, vs DVD-R?

Alternatively your DVD writing software may not be closing the DVD-R disc for some odd reason.

Just out of interest, what brand/manufacturer DVD-RW and DVD-R's are you using? Also what DVD writing software are you using?

for burning im using imagetools and then decryptor (nero made me a lot of errors)

my dvd-rw is RIDATA and my dvd-r its blank no logos im buying them in wholesaler , but as i said before i burned already movies that came out good.

Is the 8 movies you've done, non-split movies? I'm just trying to isolate your problem. It seems you have problems arising on the second disk of your split movies.

How about trying Imgtools alone to burn with "reallocate VIDEO_TS structure" unchecked? Currently I use Nero 5.5.17.9. I haven't used the newest version yet. This works for my picky Sony standalone.

Also, is there another DVD player that you can test your second DVD-R on?

also all my other movies are splited , and i also tried as you told me : "reallocate VIDEO_TS structure" unchecked but something strange happened there on my dvd display there was under title : I5 on under chapter there was upside down Z and near it 5 (i mean the letter Z was like you wrote it from the top from right to left- hope u understand)

and no i dont have other dvdplayer.

I'm almost stumped on this one. I'm still curious if it plays on another DVd player though. Don't you have a friend or family member that has a DVD player you could test it on? Or maybe at a video store?

By the way, what is your DVD player Brand and model? I don't recall if you mentioned that in a previous post.

it is eltax dvd , its not familiar but its good.

of course i can play it on family or friend but its not available all the time.
