ESBuy.com 4X DVD-R and DRU-500A?

Has anyone tried esbuy.com's 4X media on the Sony DRU-500A? I really want to buy some 4X media but I want to make sure it works first. Some people have claimed the media is Ritek G04, but I want to verify that and that it will work at 4X with the sony.

From the picture on their site, their spindle looks just like the pack of ritek g04s that I got and won't burn faster than 2x

They're not going to burn at 4x until there is a firmware update to specifically allow them to burn at 4x.
