Help needed

I've tried to encode the movie SIGNS I haven't been able to get a good copy yet. (2 weeks)

used REMEG it stops a 90% on the first pass. (no help)

Used TMPEG_Plus got the movie encoded completely. But the Picture is very jerky. after fixing that Video and Audio not in Sycnh.

Used CCE 262 full version movie would not synch with Audio.

Any suggestion would be greatly apprieciated.

Just finished my Signs backup project this morning. This one was a bit of work, as it has a 1 hour 'Making Of' feature- stole nearly 1GB of space even when reencoding down greater than Q60. There is another extras feature with 2 multi-angle selections. Nonetheless, I fit it all on one DVD-R with about 15MB to spare.

I rencoded the main feature with CCE 2.66.1.07 with no problems. This is a simple multi-PGC job, with no special tricks.

Only thing I found odd was there was a French subtitle, but far fewer in number (like less than 100). This is the second time I had this happen- the first was on Bourne Identity.

How did you re-author?

Wish I knew what i am doing wrong?
Used DVD Decrypter to Rip.
Ifoedit to Strip unwanted materials (just wanted the Movie)
DVD2AVI to Create AVI
VFAPI con_EN
CCE_250
Ifoedit (movie_only reumx)

Video Quality is Excellent
audio is 1 frame behind video.

I've used Single Pass
2 Pass
3 Pass

Maybe I need to Remux Audio first. unfornately I not sure of how to do this.

I have never done a 'remux' with IFOEdit. I wasn't even aware you could do this with CCE encoded material.

Did you do a pulldown on the encoded video? Did you set "Force Film" in DVD2AVI? Again, I have never taken the path you took- this path is very hit or miss.

Forgot the pulldown. don't remember setting it. well here I go again. encode # 9.
