I'm stumped... I have done this dozens of times with diffrent movies but never have I encountered this.
this file is an original demuxed file unaltered yet i cannot get Scenarist to accept it is there some tweek that I over looked ?

this is what i get:
Error G:\Original files\O-BROTHERWHERE_ART_THOU\VTS_01_PGC_01_1 - 0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 - 720x480 (NTSC) - 16~9 - Letterboxed.M2V
Error : Number of fields (38) in GOP(# 5) or between sequence_header_code should be equal or smaller than 36.

Anyone have a fix for this ?
Thanks

Not all DVDs are muxed with Scenarist, and not all muxers obey the limits. StreamWeaver will allow larger GOPs than the spec, and I would imagine others do too.
In these cases, why demux? From what I can see (and I haven't tried this) the vob itself can be used.

the reason I demux is because in many cases if i strip all but one audio track (6 chan DDS) & the video track and dump all menus and all the garbage many DVD's will fit to 1 disk in many cases only with megs to spare. Although all the fluff is nice i would much rather have a pristene copy of the image than all the x-tras, the same goes when I reencode I have it down to the point that i only shve no more than 5-10 meges left... If that.
As to useing the striped vob and ifo to create my dvd my rate of success is about 50% and my current burner is dvd+ which gets costly real fast, so until i have a better understanding of all the fine detail work involved I'll stick with works ;-)

as to doing a pulldown by mistake unless dvd decripter does pulldowns that wasnt the case :-)

Thanks for the insite guys
