I seriously apologize if this has been covered, but I had no luck in searching on this topic. I am trying to back-up my X-Files season collection and I have a question on the Get VTS Vectors command of IFO Edit.
What does this command do exactly? I created a backup of my X-Files season disc (currently working on this) and I did not run this command. Let me explain. I extracted all the episodes and got 8 VOB files, which I renamed to be in order, and placed in the same directory. I created a new IFO file with IFO Edit, did not run Get VTS Vectors and saved the IFO file. I then resized the VOBs using DVD2One and got 4.36GB worth of burnable data. I burned it and it plays just fine, including chapters, which are in the right place. There are no menus this way, but it works for what I'm trying to do.
So what am I going to run into because I skipped the Get VTS Vectors command? Both my stand alone player (Pioneer) and PowerDVD play the disc just fine.
Here's alittle adder to this. When I did run Get VTS Vectors, it prompts me to run it on both IFO files and I said yes. It creates new IFO files, but these IFO files do not run correctly through DVD2One. It doesn't convert them for some reason. Has anyone else seen this? And can anyone explain what the Get VTS Sectors does?
