Hi guys, I was trying out DVD2One the other day just to check it out. Normally I use Doit4u with CCE and Scenarist for all my backup needs, so I was using DVD2One just to see how well it works. Anyhow, I decided to try it out with The Matrix. Here are the steps I took;

1. Used Smartripper and backed up the whole DVD on to my HDD

2. Used DVD2One to work on the first Title (so it'd only do the movie) and also the 6ch,2ch,eng subtitle tracks

3. Once I had the new VOBs, I ran the new IFO through IFOedit and took out the 2channel and subtitles to make room for the menu vob.

4. I tried using IFOupdate but when it tried updating the original IFO it kept giving errors.

5. So the normal way I have used to include the menu file into movies did not working in this project. Could someone tell me how to make this work?

All I want is the movie + menu. I don't want to spend too much time on it though since I have other movies I need to backup but I would still like a quick solution. Please don't tell me to use my norma method because that's a work around, not really a solution to this. Any and all help is GREATLY appreciated!

ps. My next task will be to make an image of the newly authored VOBS in the original layout, then run it through DVDXCOPY to see if it can solve the problem, but I'd rather learn to fix it myself for future projects. Thanks guys and gals!

When you were describing what you were doing it gave me a great idea. Why not just demux the newly created VOB's. Once you do that you will have the new m2v file and the new ac3 file. After you do that then you can make menu's with whatever program you want.

I think he wants the original menu, as alot of us do , if this can be done it would be great and cut down on a lot of hassle :)
