I'm having a problem with my latest project... I have an m2v stream that plays perfectly on it's own in PowerDVD. However, when I compile it into a Maestro project (been using the guide on this site) and try to play it with PowerDVD, I have a problem. The audio plays normally while (at times) the video speeds up, way ahead of the audio, and then pauses until the audio catches up. The video than resumes playing normally until, once again, it decides to speed up. This cycle repeats.
Any clues what might be going on here? I'm almost bald from pulling my hair out. Thanks!

You didn't mention where the m2v came from, but... I had that problem a while ago, when I first started encoding. I think it had to do with a progressive source and I forgot to select Forced Film in DVD2AVI before saving the project and feeding it to TMPGEnc.

"Forced Film" eh? Hmm... I'll give that a shot. I figured it didn't matter since I was removing the telecine in TMpeg anyway.
Thanks for the tip!
/me starts another 21 hour encode. <sigh> :)

well, it didn't work. <sigh> I discovered something strange though... the problem only occurs when I play the DVD with PowerDVD (I have 4.0) or on my Playstation 2. If I play it back using WinDVD 4.0 or put it in my XBox, it plays fine. Unfortunately, I don't have a standalone to test it in. This is bizarre. Can anyone shed some light on why this might be happening? thanks!
