Hi all,

would like to say thanks to thewef and all the mods and other people who've left more than enough info lying around the site for anyone to get gknot working just fine.

My question is this. The '% of First pass stats' box above the compressibility result box. What does it do exactly? I know i don't need it as such, but it would be interesting to know exactly how compressibly the movie is, rather than an estimate.

My understanding is that it's not used for divx 5 as gknot uses vdub for this and it's nandub stats files that the box is referring to. Am i right? Or just being dense?

yeah i've read it;)

that explains how to do a compressibility check, which i can do fine. i was wondering about the box just above it, at the bottom of the main gknot window, 'first pass stats' and what that does, if anything.

is it only for if you've used nandub, or what?

Yep, it's like a 100% compression test.
