Hi guys
I have a weird problem which is not really a problem now
I have a Divx movie which I wanted to put on DVD
So I used the TmpGenc guides to encode it into DVD Pal format
Lucky for me the divx resolution was already in DVD format so I did not lose much on the video quality
So I ended up with an m2v file and then I used virtualdub to extract the audio into a wav file.
I used cooledit to split the left and right channels and produce 2 independant wav files (I also kept the stereo wav file)
I also used Tmpgenc to extract the mp2 audio track
Lucky for me this time too, I did not have to resample since it was already the right sampling rate.
So I authored the DVD by dragging and dropping the video asset and then I use the scenarist AC3 encoder to encode the wav files (left and right) into an AC3 file.
Convertion was ok with no problem.
Then I dropped the new AC3 file in the track editor and started the simulation window to check if everything was alright
The movie started ok but if I manually change the time counter value and play it again, the audio was out of sync
So I though the AC3 encoding was incorrect and I used the stereo wav file.
Same problem
Then I decided to use the m2p file.
Same problem
Finally I decided to generate the vob files and burn the dvd on a RW just in case :)
The DVD played fine in Power DVD and my standalone player
No audio sync problem
So is there anybody here who knows what happened ? or if it is a known bug in scenarist ?
What is also weird is that if I use the simulation window with video and audio ripped from a dvd, it's fine !!!!!!!
Thanks
