DV rendering in Premiere 6.5

I have a DV movie that is 132 mins long on 3 tapes. I transferred the video to my harddrive and added the 3 movies to the timeline in Premiere 6.5. I then tried to export the movie only (no sound) with the picture cropped (and resized back to 720x480), deinterlaced and noise filter (gaussian blurr applied (Premieres filters)using either MS DV or Canopus DV. Each time the movie gets to 53,000 and something frames (its exactly the same frame each time) 5.99GB and stops. I'm using WinXP SP1 with NTFS. Thats about 30 mins into the movie, which is on tape 1 so I recaptured tape 1 but it made no difference. I tried re-installing Premiere but that didnt help either.
I even built another system with just Premiere on it, the video got a little further 7.99GB, but it stopped again. Am I missing something fundamental here. The final file should be about 26GB, and I should be able to do this. I have tried using an external 80GB firewire drive to put rendered video onto or a 120GB IDE drive so I know there is plenty of space, but no go.
Any insights will be much appreciated as this is driving me crazy....:devil:

OK answered my own question, it turned out to be the noise reduction filter that comes with Premiere 6.5. If I deselect this filter the rendering sails through to completion. If I select this filter, it doesnt matter which codec I choose (even tried Huffyuv) it stops after about 30 mins. It must be intrinsic to Premiere as even a new installation on a different machine gave the same problem
