is the source public for dvd2svcd? i want to use the part where it calls CCE but use an .AVI file insted of an .avs file.
i get my .avi from frameserveing a .tpr project of a tivo mpg. i can't use .avs because remuxing messes up this picky tivo mpgs and throws audio video off sync.

The you are of the very small minority. CCE is down right aweful with sound.

What is so bad about re-muxing? It works fine for me and the audio is tons better.

im using vsplitmux2 for spliting and muxing my tivo tystreams. if i use a 3rd party muxing tool after that i get audio video sync problems. how do you handle this? AFAIK the programmer admits this will happen.

Try reading the guides at Doom9.org all the info you need is there.

Or

Better yet just use DVD2SVCD to create your videos.

im asking if you have used vsplitmux2 and used a 3rd party muxer after? from what i have tried it does not work, hence dvd2svcd will not work for me cuz it uses .avs's. i need to import .avi's. with out spliting anywhere. doom9 doesn't have any info on this.

is there source code for that version? i *need* the code cuz i want to do this all via automation, or if these programs have command line support that would be a lot better :) ?

avi2svcd is the same as dvd2svcd..just change your input to avi..i don't see why you need the source code still...avi2svcd will do everything for you...assuming your input file is synched your output file should be to. the only way to find out is to try.

when i say i want to control it by command line or source code, that means i don't want to have to select [open] and browse for my .avi's. i want another program, i.e. batch file to launch it and start the transcoding automaticly.

and why can't avi2svcd do this?

if you're looking for the source code you should give up now...it's not going to happen

what are the avi2svcd command line options?

open dvd2svcd, click on the 'misc' tab, and choose avi as your input type..now go to the conversion tab, select your avi. change the other settings as you see fit and start the conversion.

yes i understand what a command line interface is...my respsonse was hinting to you that you don't need a command line based program to do this if you have an avi, as avi2svcd will do everything you need to do.

in this forum, we like people to show some respect for people that are tyring to help you, not threaten to flame them.

if you continue to talk rude or ask for the source code this thread will be closed.

i want command line support tho, if you read a few posts above i want to be able to put this in a batch file and run it all automated. cuz i put my tivo streams to be downloaded from my tivo into a download manager and then when they finish downloading they are opend. the file type would then be maped to a batch file which starts the transcoding automaticly.

dvd2svcd has a batch mode. if you want to create a program the 'listens' for new video files and automatically starts converting them once they are on your computer, then write this script and have the script open up dvd2svcd. if this is not good enough then you have come to the wrong place.

before you ask again, read the required reading for this forum (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23668)
