ReMPEG VS DVD2ONE -DVD2ONE WINS!

Hello Friends. I am fairly new (20 disks) to the DVD backup arena, but I've had my share of disappointments, primarily by ReMPEG. I run a brand new P4 Dell with a NEC burner and it takes 16 hours to re-encode a 2 hour movie with ReMPEG. I am using the full version of DVD2ONE now and get a result in 40 mins w XP, versus 16 hours with ReMPEG. W/ ReMPEG I got blocks, stills, jams and twitches (my own terminology for crappy playback). Now that I'm using DVD2ONE for transcoding everything is beautiful! I must mention that I am a videophile and I do notice some degradation from a DVD9 original but not significantly worse than ReMpeg conversion. This product is so worth the $40 USA. Friends, you will be using this product soon, unless you like the combat of ReMPEG. By the way, if your using CCE the same goes for you. I've tried it too. Don't ask me to explain anything technical, I'm new, and sometimes a new perspective can do a world of good.

My friend, I think you are right.

I'm sure a lot of people are going to pick up on this product. The major feature seems to be :- IT WORKS.

Nice and simple for people to use, very fast, and the results are acceptable. Not perfect, but acceptable.

Give it 6 months, and it will sweep the market.

Well, acceptable is the word.

I tried 3 times dvd2one....and it gave me some weird result.

For instance, I ripped "jackie brown"...and I got some yellow line on top of the picture ???!

Furthermore, if you look closer the picture when the background is static you will see some bad effect....

Of course, nothing to compare with the re-mpeg tool....but still far behind CCE.

Sorry to read of your problems with Jackie Brown.

Hopefully further releases will solve problems like this.
