(Sorry if this post belongs in between DVD encoding and DVD burning...)

Guys,

Here is an advice from a recent experience (a few minutes ago). Never ever use DVD2one while you are burning a DVD.
I tried to use the trial version on a ImgTools image of a DVD I had mounted with Daemon tools. At the same time, I was burning with DVDDecrypter another image located on another hard drive.
I launched DVD2one trial, had to wait for a few seconds until the "Start program" button was available and wooosh ! Blue screen of death, trying to access an invalid page blablabla.

It is extremely rare that I crash my very stable Win2000 Pro (happened twice with WinMx software). Plus, this is my first official coaster on Sony DRU500a. Damn, the burning process was at 75% (burning at 1x, 55minutes for a complete DVD, aaaargh ! 1.6 Euros in the garbage can).

So I would advice you not to use DVD2one and burn at the same time, even if you plan to use DVD2one on a DVD image, which normally shouldn't interfere with the DVD burner...

If anybody has some explanations on it, I'd be happy to learn.

You overstepped the bounds of your memory. You literally created a buffer underun. What that means is that the program was progressing and doing buffering ok, until you asked the cpu and the memory to do some heavy duty work. Couldn't keep up and the result is a lost disc. Don't even open control panel when running DVD Decrypter. I've see it shoot form a normal of 4-8 % buffer cache used all the way up to 99% buffer used just by trying to open up the control panel. These things are very memory and cpu intensive.

As a personal rule, I NEVER run other applications when I'm burning.

The logic being, I have spent some time to get to this there, and I don't want anything to go wrong at this late stage. Especially when something as silly as a buffer underun can kill it.

So, I don't do it, and I don't have problems.

Guys, I've been burning several DVDs with DVDDecrypter and never had any problem using other software simultaneously. I even used CCE encoding while burning a DVD and it worked perfectly.
So I doubt very much DVDdecrypter is to blame here. I would say DVD2One is probably responsible (although it's just my own opinion and I have no proof).

Same here.

Burn, encode, surf the net, edit PSD images, what ever I need to do, never a bad disc with my AO3, or LFD311.
