Hi,
while there are some problems by using Nero to burn DVD's, what program produces the most compatible DVD's? I read some threads, and it seems that "Prassi Primo DVD" is a good choise. Who of you agree and who has some other suggestions?
greets,
Zeus.

I have near zero failures with cheap DVD media doing this.Burner - LF-D311
1. rip with DVDcyptor
2. ifoedit what i want.
3. Build an iso with IMGtools
4. Burn the dvd with DVDcyptor in Write ISO mode.
works like a charm
I have Nero - good for cd's.
DVD-Rs work great on my Sony and Apex players. I have had other people test on thier home players and my disks work fine. Good Luck

As stated above, to acheive greatest compatibility build a .img file and write that with DVD decrypter/Primo DVD etc.

You should specify which version of Imagetools you're using because the difference between versions is huge. In one version it uses a totally different DLL/engine

I use the ImgTool_089_dll. The newer one doesn't work as well for me. I am running WinXP Pro on an Asus A7n8x-d board with a XP2700 chip. Right now my setup to rip and burn really works for me. I am not sure why I would upgrade my software.
Ifoedit0.95 and DVDdcryptor 3.14
Good Luck

I use RecordNow Max and unlike Nero the discs work on all my players all the time.
I have also used IFOEdit to create and image and burned that. It worked on all the DVD players as well. I only tried that once though.

I use ImgTools version 0.99.x and have no problem (except compilations with "0 bytes" VTS_xx_0.VOB files, but I guess that they are useless anyway so they can be deleted without risk).

Take a look at http://www.vcdhelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=432508&highlight=missed+point#432508 sometime ?

Hi GMH,
I have red the all thread at vcdhelp forum and it doesn´t describe my problem. I used the same media (Memorex +RW) with Nero and with ImgTools. Nero´s compilation didn´t work, ImgTools´s did. So it HAS TO be problem of Nero (5.5.9.14 and 5.5.9.17). Probably different way in files burning order...
