I've extracted the m2v file of the original vob set using vobedit. When I load this m2v in scenarist, scenarist says the start time of the video is 00:59:00 in stead of 00:00:00. So now all my chapters and subtitles are messed up ofourse since they start at 00:00:00 does anyone have a solution to this?

You probably did not set your CCE to all zeros when you encoded. If it's the original m2v, this will happen also. You can either re-encode with it set to all zeros or, if it's the original m2v, you'll have to skew everything forward by that amount.

What I did was demux the original set and use the original m2v file, so no reencoding it in CCE. (was trying jddobs new ifoupdate method).

I changed all the timecodes (subs and chapters) , but when recompiling the audio is out of sync, the subtitles aren't (as far as I can tell), but I don't know if this sync problem has something to do with the video timecode.

You should actually see both the audio and video skewed forward (but lined up) on the timeline when you create the track in Scenarist. This isn't PAL is it? Apparently PAL users have a lot of problems. Also, make sure ALL of your assets are drop-frame. (If it's NTSC, that is)
