i wanna backup snatch and keep as much as possible trailers and other stuff on the dvd ...

so i recompressed all trailers and took only one angle from the multiangle files...

i remuxed all those *.m2v and *.ac3 files back to VOB files.

when i use the original *.ifo files the trailers, little movies etc. will run but not end ...in most caes they end in a black screen and do not continue to te next movie...

example :

1. run dvd
2. columbia tristar teaser
3. copyright information in english
4. copyright information in french
.
.
.
x. main menu

etc.

the dvd wont jump from the tristar screen to the copyright information ( i know the correct order from the original dvd)
when using the original IFO files...when using the newly authored IFO files the movie isnt even recognized and directly jumps to the menu...

does anyone have a clue ?

thanx

Chances are, you are missing the parts that the IFO structure expects to be there and so the commands aren't happening on your player. Look at your IFO and you'll probably find there there is a second chapter on some of these but the IFO says it only plays for like 15 frames or so. Basically, the way you can avoid this each and every time is to create your structure *exactly* like it was in the original IFO. Treat the IFO as your "roadmap" to recreation. Take a look at my "Tips and Tricks" section on my site to see how to read the IFO file and how it might look when in Scenarist.

Why do you ignore the answers provided in the NON Advanced DVD authoring forum and post over here instead? As explained previously...you must use something like IFOUpdate on the original IFOs. There are at least three threads regarding IFOUpdate in this forum.
