I download the trial version of DVD2One yesterday. I am having a problem making a DVD to work on my standalone player. I created a directory called VIDEO_TS and put all the files in that directory. I then used Veritas Record Now to make a data DVD. When I put the disk in my computer it works fine. When I put the disk in any of my standalone DVD players I get a message that the DVD can’t be played. All of my players play DVD-R so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I should try next?
Thanks
Frank

You are probably missing the AUDIO_TS folder.
My guess is your standalone requires to see both AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folder on the disc to be able to accept it as a compliant DVD.
Just create an empty AUDIO_TS folder and try again.

I tried adding that directory but I still can't get the disk to play. Do you know if I need to close the disk or make any setting changes to the burning software?
Thanks

Yes, you should be finialising the disc if you intend to play it in a standalone player.

Frank, I had same problem, some say the full version will take care of it. But, try this procedure from sparkplug...it worked for me when using the trial version of dvd2one....
"After the DVD 2 one creates the files. Open IFOEDIT 0.91 (or 0.95) and select VOB extras for the VTS_01_0.IFO select the opitions strip streams, strip vob ID, correct vob unit, and correct ifo tables.
When asked select all ID's and ALL streams . Then Let's rock'n roll.
Burn in any media compatible with Sony players (I have the NS 400)
the jerking problem is solved. "

well i cant think of anywhere else to put this - but ive been experiencing more and more problems compressing video.....i usually use rempeg2 but im getting so many weird problems for example - on the region 2 disc of reign of fire, once the m2v is squashed, burnt and put on a disc there are sporadic coloured squares appearing but not like when the disc is burn badly...anyone seen this, also on the region 1 of crocodile hunter, if you load it into spruce up you cant put any chapter stops in....very strange - is this an attempt at further copy protection.....?
