Hello all

I have a question about the PGC.
I have a movie (Monsters, inc) that in the main movie have 2 pgc. But one of them, the 2nd is empty. The doitfast4u create a noncce file that i put in the 2nd pgc. Normaly the dvd don't read this 2nd. But with this movie after the first menu it goes to there and so i have a 7s X 2 delay in he begining of the movie. This is very anoying. Can anyone know how i can resolve it or how can i make a fake video file ?

Thanks and Regards all

Joao

I'm not quite sure how you end up with such a large delay. Usually the files you get are precisely what is on the original DVD. Perhaps there is something slightly different in your scenario when you reauthored in Scenarist? Are you sure it is exactly the same? Anyway, you can make a blank PGC in Scenarist without using any assets for it. Just right-click the "Title" folder you are working with and tell it to add a PGC. You do not need to place anything in it. Scenarist should mux fine without returning any errors. Things like this are used commonly in DVD's to support the underlying command structure.

i've tried that but for some reason if the pgc is empty the dvd stops.

Are you faithfully recreating the DVD structure or did you strip things, etc. first? Stripping "this and that" is always going to leave you with an unreliable DVD.

Just place a dummy clip there.
