I have a PAL AVI movie captured in 16÷9 format and I want to make a DVD with it that can be played either in 4÷3 and 16÷9 television sets without distorting the image?
Which encoders?
Which authoring tools?

I read somewhere that TMPGEnc can encode 16÷9 format with letterbox.
However it seems that it is necessary that the authoring software can handle this format.
Is it true?
