hello all,
in order to burn dvd's movies i used to burn the movies with nero , which made me a lot of problems (my stand alone dvd couldnt find any disc's) so i switch to the image tools and the decryptor (to burn the image) and it worked for me .
i managed to burn star wars, now when i tried to burn pearl harbor and behind ene,y lines i have problems :
my dvd could recognize the disc's he found the dvd disc and load the display (i hope you undestand what he does) ,on the screen nothing happend but on the dvd display there is the chapter and the time is 00:00:00 and he doesnt start running .
so i think the problem is somewhere in the ifo's but i dont exactly sure or know what to do with it , so anyone can put a little light one this issue ? please.
thanx

ifos are copyrighted and hence your attachment cannot be validated. However, in rare cases imgtools screw up... try playing your disc using a software DVD player.. when the disc behaves erratically on the PC as well it may be an imgtools problem (in which case you should use PrimoDVD or Gear to burn the contents of your VIDEO_TS directory (don't burn the image)).

first - thanx for your relpy.
second - i didnt understand exactly about the dvdplayer is it the name of the program and if so when do i run the movie there after the burning or before ? (is powerdvd is the same?)
third- the reason i stop burning in nero is because there you burn the video_ts directory and my stand alone dvdplayer couldnt find the disc , so if i burn in primodvd the video_ts directory isnt there a dangerous that it will be like nero ? and if not can you link me to a guide or for that other program you suggested ?

many thanx

hmm.. if you don't know what a software dvd player is then you have a serious problem.. this is DVD 101. Take a look at the 3 words... there's dvd player which you obviously know what it is... and then there's software.. so, a dvd player implemented in software is a software dvd player.
Nero isn't good when burning a VIDEO_TS folder (yet burning images works quite nicely with it), but the other two programs I've mentioned do not have the problems Nero has.

Guide on PrimoDVD (rather old one): http://mpucoder.kewlhair.com/derrow/primo.html and there's nothing on gear.. but burning a DVD is really no witchcraft.. I'm sure you can figure it out all by yourself.
