i have a dvd flipper disc.. the disc is dual sided / single layer.. you have to flip the disc to watch the whole movie.. what i want to do is merge them together and then let dvd2one convert it to a dvd5.
i dont really care about keeping menu's, subtitles.. just the main movie.
i tried using vobmerge to merge all the vobs together, but it stopped at 4gb even tho i had plenty of harddrive space and my drives are NTFS..
i was going to merge the vobs, the demux them to an m2v & an ac3 then import them in to maestro and output the ifo/bup/vob set so i could burn it to a dvd-r..
can anyone give me some advice on how to get this done?
thanks for any help anyone can provide

There is information on this on the forum. You need to do a search.

I too am curious about putting a flipper disc on a single dvd5, and in my search I came up with 3 threads, that's right 3 threads only, this being one of them. The other 2 threads really didn't contain enough information.
My point is, I'm in no hurry to find the information. I will find it at my leisure, but I feel that some moderators are a little too quick to come down on people's questions or inquiries.
Rather than read this:
TRILIGHT: "There is information on this on the forum. You need to do a search."
I'd almost rather not get a response. Really.

Strange...when I do a search for "flipper disc", I come up with 7, that's right, 7 threads, one of them being the thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25762) I wrote a long time ago explaining exactly what to do in this situation.
My point is, I'm in no hurry to retype things I've typed already and are easily found via a simple search. I explain things at my leisure, but I feel that some users are a little too quick to ask questions (or post flames directed at moderators), before they've even done a simple search like "flipper disc".
I'd almost rather not see the question posted repeatedly at all. Really.

Trilight:
I read your other post -- seems interesting -- I was wondering - can't you just add the movies to the timeline one after the other and then create a sync audio track ?
Would that not take care of your navigation problem ?
Let me know if this method has any drawbacks to it.
Thanks man -- your guides are just amazing :)

@wangofree
No prob, man! You're very welcome. :) Sorry if I was an ass. I had just found out they cancelled my project at work so I was not in the best of moods at the time.
@max2k
I wrote that "tip" almost a year ago after I'd only been doing this stuff for about a month. hehe ;) You're EXACTLY right though! I was not aware of this ability at the time I wrote that tip last year. In fact, now that I think about it, I think putting both on one and creating a sync audio track would be the PREFERRED way to do it!
I even do this very thing when editing commercials out of my TiVo material and I list how to do it in the "TiVo to DVDR" guide I wrote! LOL :D It just never occurred to me to go back and edit last years post to include this information. Thanks for the compliment and "touche" on "teaching the teacher". hehe ;) I'll go include this information on that post for others to find.

Yo Yo man --- I can't even think that this comes close to "teaching the teacher" --- I'm sure I must have got this idea by reading one of the posts here ... Heh heh
Its fun learning all this though :)
Now if only DVD/Rs become as cheap as the CD/R - I can learn much more :)

Invest in a couple of DVD-RW's man. That's what I did in the beginning. Tried all SORTS of weird things and never worried about messing an expensive disc up. ;) I've used TDK, Maxell, and Verbatim DVD-RW's and they've all been great so far.
