:( Without luck I have tried to burn Back To The Future movie only. On another example DVD I copied the movie only and used the folowing files only on Spiderman

VIDEO_TS_BUP
VIDEO_TS_IFO
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_01.VOB
VTS_01_02.VOB
VTS_01_03.VOB
VTS_01_04.VOB
VTS_01_05.VOB

Spiderman plays great in PC and Stand Alone DVD Player.

I tried the same with Back To The Future and Back To The Future Part 1 using the same as above format.

I made an image than burned, I burned straight in Nero and even burned using IMG 099.

The Disk plays and starts itself in my PC, but on all occasions when I stick it in my DVD Player it does not start and when I hit the play button I get the dreaded disk is either dirty or damaged.

Please help, going nuts. Is it the format of these movies since I got Spiderman to work along with others by just using the fields listed? What the heck am I missiing a navigation fiel?

Thanks Guys.

You need to give us FAR more information. First of all, the only way you could have gotten a BU of Spiderman would have been to re-encode to a lower bitrate. The VOBS you listed above total over 5.3GB alone. What tools did you use? How did you re-encode? How did you re-author or Vob-edit the end result?

Have you read the guides?

also VTS_01_0.VOB and VIDEO_TS.VOB are missing

one last thing (and is probably a typo on your post here), the VTS VOBs are named VTS_xx_x.VOB not VTS_xx_x.VOB

I used the following for Spiderman and Back To The Future. I did reduce the last VOB removing end credits in Spiderman, works great in standalone

DVD DECRYPTER
Ripped all files

INFOEDIT
Removed with VOB Extras unwanted audio and subs other than English.

REMPEG2
Encode and Transcode at 78%

INFOEDIT
Add the new stream after opening the latest vts_01_0.ifo

IMGTOOL
Make image

DVD DECRPTOR
Write image to DVD+RW

This is movie only I do not need the other files mentioned in the post I believe. Same procees for 5 DVD'S I have backed up, only fails on Back To The Future or Back to The Future I.

I even burned to 2 disks keeeping everything I get menu hit play the movie starts gets by the rating screen and I get the error here dirty disk or maybe damaged. I hit the play button on my remote and the movie starts playing ok. Its something in the beginning before the movie begins
