reasons that cause CCE 2.5 to crash [Archive]

CCE worked for me for about a week now it is crashing out on me. The error message box is "CCE: Encoding error" it always happens around 45 minutes into an encode. It has happened on 4 projects forcing me to move over to TMPGec (which isn't a bad thing, just a much slower solution.) I've tried a re-install same results. This seems to have started happening when I installed AVIsynth2 when I use VFAPI (i'm not even sure what AVIsynth2 does, just some guide here said install it.)

System is a Epox kt333 based RAID board witha AMD XP 2400+

I'm ripping with DVD decypher to dvd2avi to VFAPI to CCE. but now I'm just ripper to dvd2avi to TMPGec+2 hours longer encode :(

Might want to try a search. CCE crashing is really very common and there is enough info on this board already to keep you busy trying things for awhile. Don't just search here, but the other forums as well.
