well at least I think it doesn't

I've made a simple 2 menu disc. one movie file

menu 1 has two buttons, one plays the movie directly, the second goes to menu 2

menu 2 has for the moment 2 buttons, 1 takes you to chapter 1. the other takes you back to main menu 1.

menu 1 is set as first play and on the navigation simulator everything is fine, so I compile it into an image.

in powerdvd I have 3 vobs available

video_ts.vob
vts_01_0.vob
vts_01_1.vob

vts 01 0 is the menu but no buttons are accesible
vts 01 1 is the movie file and plays
video ts blinks up a black screen for a second and then goes back to the powerdvd splash screen graphic.

can someone hint at what might be wrong here?

What I am guessing from what u r describing is that u didn't set up menu 1 as a still. Instead u have defined it as a timeout of zero so it doesn?t stay up at all for u to select anything.

or,

U haven't linked the buttons to each other. U enter the menu1 with no button selected and u can't move to a one at all.

or,

well the 3d option would phrase itself as soon as u describe what exactly powerDVD does upon entering menu1.
