I have a Toshiba SD-R 5002, with Nero I can't burn DVDs (movies) at all, don't work on standalone or PC.
With VOB Instand CD/DVD it works, but it refuses most of my discs (mostly Ritek or Princo) so I have to make an .img and burn it with DVDDecrypter.
I heard a lot about Prassi PrimoDVD and so a friend gave me Version 2.0 of it, but what do I have to do to burn a DVD-Video???
I have those working VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS directories, please discribe step by step for those stupid ones like me...

If you got your VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS ready, it should be simple: just drag and drop both directories (from Explorer into Prassi). You can check at the bottom whether the project fits on one disc.

You can use the global image function to write .img files.

Also GGOE where did you purchase the ritek's from? As it sounds like the may not be the genuine thing.

If your using the directory method in Prassi you might want to turn off VIDEO_TS checking in the preferences as this can alter some of your files, sometimes this will prevent the DVD from working.

I too have a toshiba SD-R5002 dvd-rw, and I am having a dickens of a time trying to burn a usable disc from my trial version of dvd2one.

I've tried Nero 5 and Gearpro. Burning a udf, both will burn, but when I play on my stand alone Sony dvp-ns300 the Nero copy will jump to 3 specific freeze frame spots, and shut down. The gearpro copy is not recognized by the sony.

Running W98, dvd2one is an awesome way to go...just can't get a usable disc.

The VIDEO_TS directory contains the pertinent vob, ifo and bup files.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to burn a usable disc? Prassi?

Thanks :D Wangofree

Primo DVD supports the toshiba dive if you instal the latest pxengine update. Should be worth a go.

@wangofree
Assuming DVD2one is creating your files correctly , and I have no reason to assume its not. You just need to create an image of the VIDEO_TS directory using imgtools 0.89 or DVD maestro premaster tools and burn using preferably Prassi or RecordNow MAX.
You need decent media RITEK / DVD Master are good, Verbatim some people claim are the best but expensive. I use DVD Master , thet are about 95p ( UK pence ) a disk you then should have a disk that works in 99% of DVD players , Sony Playstation 2, XBOX...

THX to all of you, PrimoDVD was easier than I thougt. It works really good.

@gooki: Bougth them in a shop in my town, they are the cheapest ones in town. Next time, I will buy some others at eBay or something like that.

@wangofree: wasn't the trial version of DVD2one supposed to stop after 30 mins of movie time?

@all
BTW I gave DVD2one a quick try last night ( 1 hour = 1 film )
wow!. Although I have not finished my own analysis. I am pretty impressed so far. Well done to the author.
