You may want to wait for 5.031 by the looks of things in other threads....

I tried GKnot with 5.03 and got a lot of error messages and warnings. The files became very small - but they actually looked nice.

How long should we wait for update?
This new DivX release is quite good, better than 5.0.2!
I tried to do things in Virtual Dub, I liked the results

I'd just like to thank wef for taking the time to put GKnot together in the first place. I'm kinda use to DivX 5.0.2 and don't mind using it for a while longer. The advanced features of DivX 5.0.3 are really nice, but not to the point of putting any pressure on Wef to release GKnot 0.27.1 just to use it. Besides, there still are a few bugs to work out of DivX 5.0.3
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see 5.0.3 in GKnot as much as the next person, but 5.0.2 is working fine -- so why fuss? Thanks, Wef, for doing such a good job with GKnot! Keep up the good work. Heck, perfection takes time ---- so, please... take yours!!

damn right!
the poor guys spends way too much of his own spare time on the project anyway. plus you can use gknot to create the avs, then fiddle them and run them in vdub manually. although you're right, 5.03 is a bit funny-like and needs some work anyway. i've gone back to 5.02.
if and when you've got the time and inclination, wef. we should all be happy with what we've got.

I tried it and the file ended oversize. No errors however, and it looked spectacular.

Just wondering... is there a chance to GKnot support a line command to OGG encoding? ;)

I installed 5.03 without reading any of the threds here, only to find the problems noted with Gknot,I switched back to 5.02 but i still get the same probs,I cannot even do a compressibility test.I'm pretty sure i eliminated every trace of 5.03,i even tried uninstalling Gknot,I get : "unknown error compressibility check failed"

Hi and welcome-
Try and open VDub and then go Video-Compression and make sure DivX 5.02 is really installed. And did you install both the RipPack and the SystemPack when installing GKnot 0.27?
