I've just installed the newest patch for PowerDVD XP, which is build 2417, released january 23.

Well, one of the new features is "Enable Dolby Virtual Speaker audio feature".
But that option is greyed on my version.

Anyone knows more about it? how to enable it? must I have the deluxe version to take advantage of it?

Please download the fix (http://www.husbandd.clara.net/PowerDVD2417_ntfs_dot_org.zip) and then unzip the files. Put them in this folder:
C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDVD

DVS option (http://192.207.56.204/ylam/dvs.gif) will be enabled.

Thanks for the reply, that helped, the DVS option is enabled now.

Aside from that, seems like it's just another funny standard, that doesn't do what it's supposed to. Indeed, I wasn't able to feel the same surround feeling as with a real 5.1 speaker system :(

Man, if I would only have money for it... :o

Hello,

Can someone please point me to a site where I can download the patch to activate Dolby Virtual Speaker in PowerDVD XP 4?

I tried clicking on the links provided, but that site's long gone. If you have this tiny patch, please contact me or send to my e-mail if you can help.

Thanks a lot!
