I have searched this forum and havn't found any topics describing what I would like to attempt.
Sorry if I have missed it and am bringing this up again in advance.

Thanks to a wonderful sweet of programs headed DVD2SVCD I have managed to shrink my films down in size to fit them on to 1 4.7 gigabyte DVD-R Now if I calculated the space needed for the Menu Features of the Disk I can calculate the remaining space for which I can set my film size to.
By looking at the amount of chapters in the origional Film I can recreate these chapters using spruce v1.1 and produce a set of DVD Files.

Now this is my question,

Once I have this reconstructed film can I realign the Chapter pointers from the Origional IFO or where ever they are stored and point them at the relevent place in the New constructed film, thus giving a Full Featured DVD with Film on one disk.

Thanks in advance.

Read the guides at doom9.org. What you want is beyond what DVD2SVCD can do. You will have to import your chapters into your DVD authoring program and use IfoUpdate and IfoEdit to set the IFO's.

For creating the Mpv DVD2SVCD is fine, but you must then go into DVD authoring and this is more appropriate to the DVD authoring forum.

The best guide for what you want I would think is Trilight's full copy guide or the IFOEdit and CCE guide.

I really think this should be moved because it does not ask about things in the realm of DVD2SVCD, but ifoedit, spruce or some such...
