Sorry to sound as a newbie, but that´s what I am. I wanted to try to fix an ac3 stream with ac3fix, but don´t know how or under which program to install it. I try to doubleclick the ac3fix.exe after having extracted the files, but nothing happens. Can anyone please help?

In which way is it corrupted? If you are lucky, this could work:
=> open file in AVI-Mux GUI
=> select the audio stream, right-click => save as AC3...

Thanks, guys. Moved ac3fix into BeSweet folder and fixed it with BeSweet, then used HeadAC3he to convert it to wav, and then merged it with videostream in TEMPGEnc to VCD. Took me a while to learn the buttons in BeSweet GUI, but most important: IT WORKS. Once again: T H A N K S:):):):)
