But afterwards i cant find the option "convolve with clipboard" in cool edit Pro. Can anyone help me please? Iīme trying to convert stereo into dd 5.1. The file iīm trying to convert has +- 1.1 Gb-its a wav file. When i try to convert clipboardd int aurora module, cool edit pro tells me that i dont have enough memory. What can i do? can i divide the wav file and work 50% first and 50% later and after join them again?!
Can anyone help me?

You will find that cooledit places the sound file into memory before manipulations, so 1.1 gig may work on my machine (2gig) but sadly not on yours. You will have to buy more memory or split into 100mb chunks, as memory still has to be used for the program, drivers, windows services, and any other background tasks you may have running.

I don't understand why many of you are possessed from that "5.1" thing.
A stereo signal should be kept stereo, period!
There is no way to get realistic 5.1 sound from a stereo source, no matter what!

Alternatively buy a decent amp with prologic II. A good one can can do ivery impressive upmixing. A bad amp however will f**k it up
