on severial movies that I have demux as of late I have noticed that when I bring them into Scenarist the timecode has been 00:59:59:00 and im am at a loss I dont know if it was something i hit by mistake or wheather this is a common ocurence.
is there a way to reset the timecode?

on the source for almost every hollywood movie, the timecode starts a 1hr for the exact moment the movie starts, and then there is a second or two pre-roll.
the ac3 file will have the same timecode.

So is there a way you tweek it back to 00:00:00:00 or whan doing my chapters should i just add the 01:00:00:00 to the chapter values .
Or just reincode the f00kers ?

I had the same problem, here is a solution I found in a thread round here (can't find the thread anymore).
Go to the www.DVDguru.net homepage, go to the Download section and get yourself the utility called DVD-R multicalculator 1.02 (in the "calculateurs" section). This small tool will let you enter the time shift you noticed in Scenarist (for example 00:59:59:59) and calculate the offset in milliseconds you will have to indicate in ChapterExtractor for getting correct chapter timecodes in the end.
TO sum it up, don't reset the movie offset, but rather modify the chapters timecodes when extracted by ChapterExtractor, by entering the offset in milliseconds that was calculated for you by the DVDR multicalculator.
This is very straightforward and worked well for me (using Maestro).
