rempeg and blocky picture

I am trying to encode star wars phantom menace to fit 1 dvd-r. I have removed all extra crap with ifo edit and it needs to be encoded at 68% to fit. The whole movie seems to play good until I get about 3/4 of the way through and all of the sudden there are all different colored blocks all over the screen for a long time then they go away. I have ripped and encoded this movie a couple of times and I always get the same result. Anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks.

using reempeg 1.52 i presume try to go 1 nogh down ot up use 60% or 70% and see how you go also there is a lot of other setting that can affect encoding (btw leave u pc alone while encoding)

rempeg wont do this movie , it will twitch , it cant seem to cope with 20th century fox dvd's , you will get a great back up from CCE however , I would do it that way if you can , there are good guides to show you how to use CCE , http://www.fukrulez.com ,select dvd guides and download fukheads guide 4(CCE):p

Well I used cce and video turned out great!! Now the only problem i'm having is after remuxing in ifoedit, a little ways into the movie the audio starts to get out of sync and then the video starts to get really jerky. That's only after remuxing though. When I'd watch the m2v file with no sound the video is perfect all the way through. Any ideas on that one?

Unfortunately, you can't remux CCE encoded movies with IfoEdit without getting asynch audio.

easy answer, re-author it with ifoedit , I did , ( not remux)and you will have a perfect copy ,if your unsure how to do that ,do a search and you will find the guide for it :cool:
